    Default The model+model Books Giveaway

    Hi All!

Welcome to the model+model Books Givaway 2nd Part

As mentioned on the model+model Giveaway blog post... Here is where you upload the images to be considered for the giveaway.

The second part of sending your 3d renders showcasing the use and scattering of books within your scenes will run on this dedicated forum thread until June 11, 2012. Go ahead and say hello, and start posting your images too – there is no need to make new ones (even though you can) as you can upload works you made in the past using any kind of software or models… the end result is what counts (and books being the main theme of the image).

    Good Luck!

    Hi Ronen!
Thank you for this great chance. Bookmanager looks like a super script, a great tool giving so random and natural results with just a few clicks! I loved it.
Here are my images with a bookcase. I organised all the books one by one manually. Just like a real bookcase They are all modeled and textured individually.

I can't compete with you guys... But here is a project I made a few months ago.
I didn't have a lot of different book models, so I spent an enormous amout of time creating randomness to avoid visual repetition. With the m+m library and its script, I could have spent this time improving the rest of the scene, and on render time, to avoid these splotches and noise.

The 2nd image looks pretty cool considering the viewpoint and what is in the frame... the books look very believable, but the splotches!!!

    Yep, the splotches :/

I'll try to re-render the scene if I have time before the 11th.

    awesome bookmaker thing, really!

we used to place them by hand which is quite a time consuming task
here are some images i made earlier this year featuring some of our books, hand placed by our
beloved katrin for a commisioned project last summer...
