    Default Forester Things

    -------------------------------------------
    Hi,

here are some sequences of vegetation simulation made using
    Forester
Cinema 4d plugin and rendered with Octane render 3.
The goal is to know if this plugin is used in production with basic simulations without busting rendering time.
Here are the images in 720p, kernel Pathtracing in a very low resolution (256-748 spp max), for a render time
never exceeding 30 seconds per image.(3 x Gtx TitanX)

Very interesting! So what are your conclusions about it, or none so far?

    Hi,
    thanks for interest ,
I think it's an honest solution "all-in-one"(trees, bushes, ground flora,etc.. rocks and scatter system) and not so expensive for an unlimited library of vegetation (it can generate polygons) with a base libraries of species include.
Creation of movements is quite simple because of the very effective animation system of cinema4d .
You access a lot of parameters to control the appearance of the object, which is perhaps sometimes a little too much just for architectural visualization.( a switch simple/expert for example will be great...)
You have the control on materials (by selection tag) wich is great when you want swicth renderer engines.(for even as the species, there is a basic bitmap textures set provided.)
I regret just a more global management of the wind and aniamtion in general.
This can sometimes be tedious to have to synchronize animation species by species;-)

basically this is my feeling after a not too intensive use, I'd love to hear from "power users".

    Ciao
