The Neue Nationalgallerie was of course a big inspiration for this museum,
there is always a wink to Mies with Claus & Kaan.
The idea behind this visualization was to show how the visitors would experience the museum
not only the architecture, but also the exhibition design (by Kossmann.deJong) which was equally important as the architecture for the competition jury.
Ronen asked me to write a few words about this project,
i will later this week, when it's less hectic in the office.
for now i can say our workflow is always : vectorworks > Cinema4D / vray > photoshop
(we don't use Max as mentioned in the newsletter)
2,5 years after we made the visualisations for the Nationaal Militair Museum competition, the museum opens for the general public this weekend.
The developer Heijmans made a nice comparison between our renderings and the realisation of the building
'search the differences' : http://heijmans.nl/nl/nieuws/zoek-de-verschillen/
(the text in dutch explains why there are differences in the design)
